At Kirton Academy, the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff is always a priority.
In response to Benedict’s Law, we now have two emergency anaphylaxis kits available on site. Our kits are located in Reception and the English Block, ensuring that staff can access emergency medication quickly should it ever be required.
All staff received anaphylaxis awareness and emergency response training during the last academic year, and staff are currently completing their refresher training to ensure that knowledge and procedures remain up to date.
We ask parents and carers to help us keep everyone safe by ensuring that we are kept fully informed of any allergies your child has. Please update your child’s medical information on the Bromcom app and also inform Reception directly of any new or updated allergy information.
By working together and keeping information up to date, we can help ensure that Kirton Academy remains a safe and supportive environment for everyone.
Let’s work together to keep everyone safe.
